The Lighthouse for the Blind of Greece

The Lighthouse for the Blind of Greece, under operation since 1946, is a Non-profit Association, Specially Recognized as Philanthropic and specially certified as Social Care Service Provider. Its activities are supervised by the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs and it is financially supported by the Prefecture of Attica on behalf of the Greek state.

The Lighthouse for the Blind of Greece, with its long experience and know-how in ensuring equal chances for All in all fields of everyday life, has been on constant and totally promising efforts for innovative relevant programs and good practices towards this direction.

In order to achieve our goals, we have been developing new practices and enhancing our services and at the same time upgrading our technological equipment and constantly monitoring the technological developments in matters of blindness internationally.

The Blinds and Volunteers Association

The BLINDS AND VOLUNTEERS ASSOCIATION, established in 2021 from a voluntary platform initiated in 2015, is dedicated to the advancement and inclusion of individuals with visual impairments and disabilities. Committed to the elimination of barriers and the promotion of equal opportunities, the association undertakes various initiatives to foster the holistic development of visually impaired individuals in economic, social, cultural, educational, and recreational spheres.

Through its activities, the association aims to create a more accessible and inclusive society while raising awareness about the challenges faced by those with visual impairments, thus promoting empathy and understanding within the community.

NEVRONAS

Nevronas.gr was founded in 2016 with a vision to create an inclusive meeting point for people with disabilities, their families, and professionals in health, education, technology, arts, and sports. The platform serves as a digital home that highlights the abilities and voices of disabled individuals, promoting their active role in society. 

Nevronas develops and implements a wide range of programs and actions, from interactive webinars and educational school visits to employment inclusion schemes and corporate consulting on disability and neurodiversity.

One of its flagship events is the annual NEVRONAS FESTival, a celebration of inclusive performing arts that offers equal access and recognition to disabled artists and audiences alike. 

With over 120 contributors in Greece and abroad, and monthly reach exceeding 100,000 views, Nevronas stands out for its original, community-driven content and its commitment to accessible, inclusive communication across all aspects of everyday life.
